Will it work for my pet?
Rick's guarantees your pet will be trained to stay in your yard in 60 days or you will receive a 100 % refund. There are different size strength collars and will contain even the most stubborn of pets.
(Ricks has never had a pet they couldn't contain).

What size pet can it work for?

Any pet that is at least 6 pounds, and 16 weeks old. the collars have are adjustable strength, which with a push of a button can increase or decrease the strength of the shock.
Rick's has contained everything to cats to 160 pound bull mastiff.

Are the collars heavy?

The collars weigh 1.3 ounces, and can adjust for any size necked dog.It has 5 levels of correction, so it can be turned way down for little pets and stronger for large pets. If you have a VERY LARGE dog and is hard to train we have a bigger sized collar that we can use.

Are the batteries expensive?

No, the batteries come in packs of 2 and sell for around $6 for 2 , they should last 6 - 8 months, and can be bought at Pet stores, Fleet farm, walmart, Radio Shack, or by calling Rick's.

Do you make a mess when installing?

Rick's uses a machine that makes a tiny 1/4 inch wide cut that buries the wire behind it. most times you can not even tell it has been installed even minutes after it gets laid.

Will the Frost break the wire?

No, Rick guarantees the wire for the life of the system, the wire will not just break on its own, almost all wire faults are caused by a shovel or aerator,so it is recommended to draw a small sketch where the wire is. Rick's also has a locator And can mark it out for you,or can tell you a trick on how to find the wire.

What happens if I cut the wire?

If you know the spot, repair can be done by yourself or Rick's can come and repair for a small charge. If you are unsure where the break is Rick's has a wire break locator to find it.

How do you cross my driveway ?

Concrete drives are crossed by laying the wire in a existing expansion joint in your driveway. the joint is cleaned out with a saw so the wire lays down and out of the way.

Blacktop drives would need to have the blacktop cut with a 1/8 inch wide saw and then caulked shut.

Gravel is cut through with the machine.

Culvert's can be used also, the wire is inserted into the culvert.

How deep does the wire get buried?

The wire gets buried 1-2 inches. to deep and it can affect the signal strength, keep this in mind if you have your yard aerated
